Coach Jason is the Owner and founder of Homerun Legends. After being on or around a baseball or softball field his whole life, he took on his true passion of sharing his knowledge with the younger generation. Jason has been coaching since 2002, and giving hitting lessons for the last 15 years at his home facilities and local parks and cages and really wanted to bring a facility to the area so that coaches would have a climate-controlled, dry place to teach, and players would have a great place to learn! In 2022 Jason Opened Homerun Legends and has been doing lessons here ever since. Jason specializes in hitting, and the mental side of the game, he is a student of the game and is excited to share that with the youth in our area!
My name is Shaun Stidham, after playing baseball for 16 years of my life, I'm very thankful for the opportunity to help the younger generation develop and achieve their goals through the sport I grew up playing and fell in love with. To have the chance to make a difference in their lives and give back to the same community I played in is going to make this experience worth while. -Shaun Stidham
Coach Shaun has been a part of the HL Family since opening in 2022
My name is Kerri Ellzey, and I have been coaching girls’ softball for nine years. I previously worked with the UMS-Wright softball team where I served as the pitching instructor. I have had the opportunity to coach alongside my husband, Justin Ellzey, and we are currently expecting a baby girl. I am an alumnus of Faith Academy and Huntingdon College where I pitched and played outfield. Coaching has gifted me with great friends, I have been able to mentor so many talented athletes along the way, and have several former players who are competing at the D-1 college level.

Hey, my name is Coach Justin. I grew up in a small town in Arkansas and have played baseball from the age of 5 all the way through college. I currently coach the 10U Phenoms travel softball team. I have spent many years helping youth players of all ages develop and continuously work on their craft to be successful as they grow. I believe that a strong focus on mechanics is the foundation for a disciplined athlete to ensure future success! I can’t wait to work with your young athlete.

My name is Aspyn Godwin and I am from Silverhill, AL. I graduated from Daphne High School in 2018 and went on to play in the SEC at Auburn University from 2018 until May of 2023. During my 5 years at Auburn, I was a catcher/UTL but spent most of the time behind the plate throughout my years there. I always would give catching lessons during my off time in Auburn and when I would come back home during my breaks, I gave them to the girls in my hometown as well. I love giving back to my hometown community because I enjoy spreading my knowledge and love for the game to the younger kids.

“One of the greatest joys is helping young players develop fundamentally, achieve their goals and develop a love for the game. A great byproduct of the work put in to achieve their goals is confidence on and off of the field. Consistency and hard work lead to success”
