“One of the greatest joys is helping young players develop fundamentally, achieve their goals and develop a love for the game. A great byproduct of the work put in to achieve their goals is confidence on and off of the field. Consistency and hard work lead to success”
- Anthony Arnette
After playing baseball for 16 years of my
life, I'm very thankful for the opportunity to
help the younger generation develop and
achieve their goals through the sport I
grew up playing and fell in love with. To
have the chance to make a difference in
their lives and give back to the same
community I played in is going to make
this experience worth while. -Shaun Stidham
My name is Jonathan Rasberry and I have been coaching baseball or softball for the past 16 years. I have been a Head Baseball Coach for 10 years at Escambia County, Northview High School in Dothan, Andalusia High School, and an assistant at McGill-Toolen and Auburn High School. I have been a part of some great programs with great players. I've been fortunate to coach over 75 players that have played college baseball along with over 10 that have played or are playing professional baseball. I have coached softball the past two years leading the 8u Spanish Fort AllStar team to become the 2021 USSSA World Series Champions. Currently, I am coaching the SoCal Athletics 2030-31 team where we just finished runner up in the 9u USSSA travel ball World Series. My playing career consisted of being a 4 year starter at Houston County high school and all county selection, Junior College World Series runner up at Lurleen B Wallace, and playing Catcher/DH for the Auburn Tigers. After graduating from Auburn, I chose to pursue coaching instead of an opportunity as a free agent with the Boston Red Sox. I currently teach Physical Education at WJ Carroll Intermediate School. I specialize in Catching and Hitting lessons and look forward to working with the talent around the Baldwin County area.
Y’all join me in welcoming Kerri Elizabeth Ellzey to the Homerun Legends team! She will be available for lessons a few days per week at our location! Y’all come see her soon!
My name is Kerri Ellzey, and I have been coaching girls’ softball for seven years. I am currently coaching A-Class softball for the SoCal Athletics 2025 team. I previously worked with the UMS-Wright softball team where I served as the pitching instructor. I have had the opportunity to coach alongside my husband, Justin Ellzey, and we are currently expecting a baby girl. I am an alumnus of Faith Academy and Huntingdon College where I pitched and played outfield. Coaching has gifted me with great friends, I have been able to mentor so many talented athletes along the way, and have several former players who are competing at the D-1 college level.
